About Pineda de Mar

Pineda de Mar is located in the central part of Marasme region. It is about 55km away from Barcelona. The city has a dynamic and charming commercial center and a nice urban look with green squares, fountains and lawns. All this attractive features and various cultural events and activities make Pineda an ideal place for vacation. The city has the remains of old Roman facilities which include a Roman aqueduct. However, you can enjoy strolling down the streets of an old fortress which dates back to the twelfth century.

There is also an authentic market which is held only once a week.

Beaches

Pineda offers great beaches by the warm Mediterranean Sea. The city is fully embraced by the sea and provides joy with wide and long sandy beaches of exceptional quality. The average width of the beach is 40 m and the total length is about 3000 m. When you go to the sea it becomes gradually deeper, thus it is an ideal place for families with small children. Beaches are well equipped with umbrellas and dock chairs for rent.

Attractions around the city

If you are a fan of water parks, then you should visit Marineland. It offers great attractions with dolphins, zoo and slides such as boomerang and there is a small water park for children too.

Park of El Montnegre is a beautiful Natural Park, which is also a great place for lovers of hiking and biking. This park has many archaeological sites that are worth visiting as well. You can take a bus which will take you from Pineda to the park.
